Is there any other sourdough users out there? I just found a 100 yr old starter a few months ago and have been really enjoying baking with it. It is a great time killer, I have heard sourdough baking refered to as a lifestyle, with all that waiting and feeding. Seems to me to be along the lines of a Str8, can be done quicker, but whats the rush. Some things are worth the time invovled. As I have mentioned it is a great time killer and it is a cheap hobby, flour and water doesnt cost much. If your like me and like to overeat when things are good, you will probably pay with your waistline though.
HAHA Ya good sourdough is hard to pass up I have heard the same thing about the sourdough lifestyle and would love to stop what I'm currently doing and go that route... in fact I'm laying the ground work for that right now. At present I don't do alot of baking, even though others say I'm not bad at it... So fat it hasn't bitten me yet. Now Muzzleloaders... and sourdough just seem to go together
