While antiquing for razors,I ran across an old brother in a small Texas town, here is his story. He is the third generation past master of his lodge (his son is the fourth!). His great grand father was caught up in the cival war and fought for the South. He was wounded and captured. The doctor that was in the camp found out that the man was a mason. Being a mason himself, the doctor took special pains and under some danger to himself, nursed his fellow mason back to health. Then, going above and beyond, the doctor set him free. Afterwards, the grandfather setteled down in that small little texas town, and helped to form a local lodge. Every man to be born into that family to this day has seen the inside of the lodge, and all from the kindness of one brother helping a widows son. I bought the razor he had for sell. It needs a bit of love and some elbow grease, but like that old mason the steel is still good, and I'll remember him and his story every time I strop it up.
