Ok - cold water shaving is somewhat different to the other kind... What things have helped you with your cold water shaves? For me: Blade -keep it sharp - well stropped (I think I'd been getting a bit lazy recently, before I got into cold water shaving). Prep -Rubbing the face with the fingers does seem to help Technique (I think I really needed to improve for cold water) -More slice style and between 30 -45 degrees to direction it goes in (If travelling left to right across chin - my blade is about 1/3 between horizontal and vertical: like a slightly flattened \) -Go gently with buffing strokes Ok - I know this applies to shaving anyway, but I think the cold water shaving requires a step up in technique - at least for me it did. All the best, Michael. ps I like the polar bear pic... now if we can only find a polar bear holding a straight razor...
I tried to find one holding a straight - but it turns out they prefer electric: YouTube - Cute Polar Bear Shaving
Yeah, Don't those buffing strokes work really well? I use them mostly after I do broad WTG clear the timber passes. Then, on to the surgery. They just shatter the brittle hairs.
