Just wondering what type of grind you prefer with cold. I like a full hollow but also get great results with a W&B chopper. I find the ones in the middle don't get the closeness for me. Anyone tried a wedge?
I myself, like a responsive razor best. Full hollow is what I own most of. Although, I have a beautiful Bengal spike 6/8 redone by Max, I feel the blade gives too much "give". I also have a Filly 7/8 almost full hollow that has no give at all. The blade is a solid brick with no flex. That's what I like most. I have no wedge razors other than a Feather I use for work and I hate shaving with it. My favorite right now is a Dovo Stainless 5/8 Ivory Micarta. That thing doesn't give any "flex", I feel. I don't dig Wobbel off the blade, ya know?.
I suppose then that a japanese type, non-folding razor would work well with a cold water shave? Is this accurate?
