Heelerau: thanks for joining the group. I beleive that Holli4pirating knows of a tobaconist that does his own blends. Check out the other discussions on this group. One of them has to do with tobacco samples.
Thanks mate , will go and have a good look. Cheers
I enjoy a pipe anytime after my first cup of wake up juice. I find that a pipe really gets the day off to a good start. I remember smoking my first pipe as a kid ice skating at the local rink. My friend had a small corn cob pipe with some "Cherry Blend" tobacco. I remember getting high as a kite. I took the pipe back up off and on over the years however the last 10 I have been a fairly steady pipe smoker. I also enjoy cigars and RYO cigarettes but I keep coming back to the pipe. At one time I had over 10 different brands of tobac however I always come back to my standard "Black and Gold". I find that a nice bowl full is fantastic while honing a blade outside. Since I only smoke outside I enjoy the aroma.
Smoking a pipe gives me a break from my cigars mainly. It's nice to light up a pipe and just sit and relax and enjoy some silence or maybe read a book. I don't smoke as often as I'd like, but then I don't get as many cigars as I'd like either. It's nice to have something to move between when looking for a different flavor or experience.
I don't really smoke regularly... picked this up in college. Cigars were too expensive, and lacked the extra class of pipes. Had many a good day reading, pipe at hand, with some Bacardi, or single malt scotch. A good strong coffee is a good match too. Just hard to be the overall effect!
One year ago today... I quit smoking cigarettes and decided to be exclusively a pipe smoker. I haven't touched a pipe since. And, my word, I do not miss the blasted little things one bit. I'm happy!
