Default Owen Darst Agenbroad: Born; 06/30/1923 Died;10/13/2016

I received word this evening that my former Boy Scout Master Owen Agenbroad passed away today.

I've had to share that news with not only my old friends from Boy Scouts but now with my friends here at SRP.

For those that don't know of Owen; you will find how he fits into this forum about Straight Razors at this link. Please see here:

Straight Razor Place - The Saga of a Japanese Straight Razor's Long Journey Home From the Battle Field of Iwo Jima

He will be missed more than my words or tears can express.

Sorry to hear of your loss Roy. Please accept my condolences to you and pass it on to his family for me. I think, after having read the thread on returning the razor, that Owen was a man's man in character and his passing is a loss to all.

My condolences as well Roy. Scouts were great because of the pack leaders and clearly, yours was a good one.

My condolences to Roy and Owen's family. I've been too busy lately to check on SRP, but Roy sent me an email about Owen's passing.

Less than two weeks before his passing, Owen had sent me a letter sharing more details about his time in the marines and thereafter. I plan to keep it safe like how he did with the fallen soldier's razor and hone he found on Iwo Jima.
