Thread: naniwa

I just purchased a 3000/8000 Combination Naniwa wet stone from my local knife guy. I will use it for the first time tonight. BTW my local knife guy does most of the honing of for the local Art of Shaving store, which I have yet to go to. I haven't honed a razor yet but watched him hone my Dovo Prima Klang and a TI he had in there to rebuild the edge from someone else. Well I just got done shaving with the PK and this guy is good. I also attempted my first hone of a razor, an older Boker I picked up on SRP. I have to say the Naniwa is awesome I got a pretty good edge. I'm not rating it at this time because I have nothing to compare it to. I do have room for improvement and will continue to practice. If anyone in the Phoenix area needs stones or honing, go to Phoenix Knife House and talk to Eytan. He seems to know what he is talking about.
