That's not bad from what I've seen (depending on the size). I would rather spend my money one a small thurry in a box, but that's prob just because I love them. Their so cute!

It might have had a much higher bid on it though

I got a chance to mess with Gerrit's (deighaingel) at the Yakima meet up and I agree with his statements above the Faso does give a very sharp edge, I would like to have had more time to figure out the trick to getting it sharp and smooth because I bet it is there...

I'm sure it is, but I just don't have the time right now to mess with it.

Yeah, I was outbid with 30 seconds left and the wife told me to stop I don't want to, like you said Glen, CHASE stones in a constant and endless search for a perfect edge but I do eventually want something escher-esk.

Sorry Brooksie, I didn't know that was you. I would second Gerrit's vote for a small thuri in the box. I really like mine and they are easy to come by.

The seemingly identical labels with Faso and Facos is the most mysterious part of this whole thing, I think. Any ideas on that from Mac or anybody?

    Thanks

    Don

My blackish FASO is an ultra finisher. To get the Most out of i use it often after finishIng on a vintage thuringian.
