Default Help with the Japanese stamps, please

The stone in question has been described as Maruichi Nakayama Asagi. I'm led to believe the symbol in the circle is "Ka" the first character of Kato, owner of the mine at one time. Other help with symbols or identification is very much appreciated.

By the way, the stone is flat though probably untouched since stamped. There are some gouges which have not effected the good work of this stone....but I've considered flattening on a lapping plate with wet sandpaper.

It's a slowwww cutter though I have used with slurry for speeds sake.

    Thanks J

I don't know much about stamps but I can tell you that looks like a very good Nakayama Kiita, I have seen those before, OLD_SCHOOL sold them I believe (the website is down now so I can't check for sure).

Good to see you smoke cigars, if I am right by seeing the cutter in the picture.

I have several jnats, two almost identical to yours. A former mod here used to sell them, and had descriptions of the Kanji on his site, but it is in fact down now. I did wind up lapping one of mine, but kept a photo copy of the kanji for future reference. If you do need to lapp it, make sure you take a pic of the kanji. It will come in handy if you should ever decide to sell it.

My Bad, It is a Kiita, Not an Asagi....Thanks Oz....

    Too many drugs.....

Dis...that is indeed my cigar cutter. I share many of my current vices with many who frequent this site....cigars and single malts in the health department, fly-rodding and bicycling in the outdoor dept, fountain pens, watches, stones, SRs in the what-can-I-do-with the occasioanal "extra" cash dept, and bonsai thrown in for ...
You clearly share some of these

The stone looks yellow like Kiita on my monitor. I've only seen blue/grey Asagi.

Seems that Asagi actually exist in a surprisingly wide variety of colors - grey, blue-gray, yellow/golden, even pink.

Here are a few yellow/golden examples (along with a pink one just because its a really cool color) as posted/sold at thejapanblade.com:
