Yesterday i got this hone.he sat in a old shavingbox whit some razors and other stuff.
Was wondering is this a natural combo coticule? Or am i wrong?

I believe it is a natural combination coticule. Give it a lapping.

Does look like a Coti/bbw combo. Naturally bonded together by the looks of the seam between them, if there were not naturally bonded it would likely have a straight seam. In older times i read somewhere that the blue side was used just for backing and never considered it for sharpening purposes. This came to mind because the blue side is much thicker then the yellow which made me think that the blue wasn't used. ( my stone is more or less equal)

You're correct, it was originally only used for backing the valuable coticule. Ardennes now use slate. 3 years ago I was using a Belgian Blue to maintain my razors. I never use it these days. I rarely even use my coticule! Coticules can be great finishers and I enjoyed getting to know mine.

Certainly looks like a natural combo. Lap it on some 400 wet sandpaper -- gently-- it's not like that coticule layer is all that thick.

You'll have to try the blue side to see if will actually hone. Some of the blue layers don't seem to do anything but create purple mud. Nice stone though, play with it and learn how it performs.
