I guess the top layer would dictate which name/layer it belongs to?
I have only one hybrid, a small Les Lat bout, and the marbled side is indeed insanely hard , I spent way more time lapping it than a 8x3" C12K which already is known for being hard as hell.
But the marble side gives me awesome keen and smooth edges, and I bet yours rocks!

I wish it was a combo hybrid like most others instead of being 100% hybrid. That would make it easier to know what it is. Regardless of what layer it is, I love the stone so thats all that really matters. I thought some of you coti heads might like looking at the pictures and trying to identify.

its basicly the hybrid part, with out the yellw side, they are usauly very easy to learn on, and yeild a very keen edge
