What kind of hone would this be?
Amazon.com: STRAIGHT RAZOR HONE WATER SHARPENER STONE: Beauty I am looking for a barbers hone and came across this on amazon.com. Would this be considered a barbers hone?

I can't tell, but Barbers' Hones are much smaller than what you have linked to.

Did Someone Say .... RAD ??
Colonel Ichabod Conk Straight Razor Sharpening Stone | Straight Razor Place
Reviews here of the conk...
The first hone, is mounted on a chunk of wood, and is a waterstone. hmmm.
I would not put either one of them against a razor I cared anything about.

The first one is a total unknown and at that price ( to good to be true) I would be very hesitant.
The second stone, Col Conk, is said to be a hard white Arkansas. Normally, a hard white would not be regarded as an Arkansas finishing stone. The Arkansas finishing grade stones are the surgical black and the translucent.
In addition the use of the term "hard white" is vague. It normally refers to a grade above ( finer) that of a soft Arkansas and finer than a Washita or "Special #3900" but since it is not specified we are left guessing.
Hope this helps,

I wouldn't consider either one a Barber's hone. The first one is a total unknown, like Randy said. Although it does resemble the Col Conk stone. Most Barber's stones are pocket size, around 2x5 and would be old. At least for the most part. They really don't make them anymore. Swaty is a well known brand of Barber hone.

Indeed, a boss barber is a fine barber hone. If you can nab one, get it, it's worth it.
