    Default Hone storage

Looking to get a little organized and was wondering what type of box or container you use to store your hones?

I keep them in my homemade boxes, and I have them all in my old Chef knives case. It works well for me, because I hone in the basement shop, so the cases keep them dust/sawdust free and all in one place.

Just a reminder, no matter where or how you store your hones, make sure that they are 100% dry inside and out before putting them away(unless you keep them in water). Mold loves hones.

I store the small baber hones in wooden cigar boxes, with rice to collect moisture. My larger stones, mostly oil stones, in a padded ammo can.

    pixelfixed,
Please advise on what type of scope you have there and how you like it.

Scope is a B&L adj to 100 power 7 yrs ago here in sillycone valley when all the semi conductor companys went bellyup they were in every electronics surplus store around, thousands of them, 25 bux ea (just the heads and eyepces) the stand cost me 3 times more than the scope.
Used to use mine on my 10mm D collet levin lathe, serves me well for honeing.

I went to walmart and bought about 6 of their small plastic storage boxes (the kind you store food in the fridge, or take on a picnic) and they work great for me, they stack and they keep everything sealed. I have dogs, enough said.
