    Default naniwa 10k

    Hi all,, I just have a simple question i hope someone can give an answer,,, Can I use the naniwa 10k instead of the naniwa 12K for refreshing the edge of my razor?? would that make a big difference??

    Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will step in here soon, but I've heard a few people say that they get very similar results from the 10k and 12k. If you've already got a 10k I'd say use it and see how it feels.

    I agree with tlittle (striking resemblence to one of my favourite actors, there, btw!) - there is a difference, but it is very minimal. The 10k is a great hone - as is the 12k - both fit for the job.

    I would agree with the previous posts.

    The progression from the 10k to the 12k is not that great to make much of a difference in the smoothness of the freshly honed razor's edge that one can readily feel.
