    Wait, what about honing without tape and then adding a double bevel with two layers of tape to increase the angle upon finishing steps? Muahahaha.

    How will using it effect the HHT ..... as opposed to not using it ???

    Ok, I'm confused. I'm trying to hone with tape, and the edge keeps sticking to it.

    It's like corking your disposable blades, helps smooth things out.
