In all the razors I've had the option of honing this makes the second Dovo. I ran across this one today and bargained with seller and got it a decent price even with the tax they charged me. At least I hope so. I want really know until it gets here but if it's in as good a shape as it appears this will make a pretty good razor.

This one came in today and it didn't disappoint. No rust or pits and it honed up nicely. I'll wait a day or two to see if it is shave ready.

Will watch this one with interest
After honing i took a hair from the wifes brush and held it up side down and it cut with no problem at all. Now she is a blonde and her hair is very light . So a light hair gives less resistance so if the razor cuts it it is sharp. but I always check the the razor on a two day beard.

It is funny how some hair types, curl, angle they come out of the follicle, you've got to "calibrate" that toward your shave expectations. I have seen wafer fine blonde hairs from an elderly woman that I could not get to HHT pass with any razor, and on my own arm with medium thickness medium brown hair I have never seen the 5mm+ 'tree topping' described here no matter what razor, approach angle, hone I use, if I can get those particular hairs to cut at 3mm above the skin the razor will astound my face.

That's a sweet little older Dovo full hollow!
