This 1792 Full Proof Single Barrel was on sale at my local Total Wine store. At 125 proof it is pretty high octane so a cube of ice was needed. Normally I like it straight. A very resectable bourbon for the price. View attachment 413
Good stuff, for the most part... this is the proof that most distillers barrel age.
For best flavor and boutique dilute to 80 proof.
I age mine on toasted oak chips at 90 proof for 6 months and then transfer to a charred oak barrel for an additional couple of years to get the same quality and flavor as a 20 year aged bourbon... Of course I also discard more of the foreshots and head than necessary.

You should try making your own one of these days, you'll never want to buy the store bought stuff again.IMG_1119.jpg

I am a lover of Tequilla and this one is my favorite. I found this one at a Tequila bar, Los Delo Santos in Phoenix in 1998 and still prefer it20190819_162653.jpg

Woodchuck Amber -- I blame it on 3 centuries of Vermont roots.

"Woodchuck" is a derogatory term for native Vermonters, but it is an exclusive title bestowed by natives that usually requires, at least, 2 generations of residency in the state. (To a true "woodchuck" all others are known as "flatlanders.")
