Hirlau, I mean no offense (seriously sometimes it happens!) but why did you pay $8 for that knife?
PT Barnum is often given credit for the quotation "There's a sucker born every minute". Whether or not the quote originated with him, people prove every day that the saying is just as valid today as it was in the late 19th century. I venture to say that one time or another every one of us been suckered into purchasing something that turned out to be junk. If the loss was no more than $8, we should consider outselves quite fortunate.

Yes, for sure. I had to put an hour into the edge/bevel, 3M 5200 the handle. A lot of the reviews stated that they gave this knife away as door prizes & gifts, I bet the receivers were shaking their heads in disappointment.

Maybe because they didn't want them to survive the zombie apocalypse. You know give em away to thin the herd of those that think it would save them lol

I think it would have been a lot better if they had extended the tang 3 more inches, you could have still loaded items in the handle.

Looking at that knife, IIRC W.D. Randall designed a similar survival knife that they may have been copying. IIRC it looked pretty much the same, but the blade @ the tang, was silver soldered unto the stainless steel handle, with a brass guard of course. This is not the original model IIRC, but they are making it with the fighting knife blade now. See, for just another $422.00 you could have had this .........

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm still partial to my Cold Steel, Ka Bar and Benchmade.
There are other great knives, but these are my favorites
