    Default Just Saying Hey

    Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself. My husband has recently gotten into straight razors and visits this site religously. He swears by straight razor shaving and is itching to shave me too. I'm just a teensy bit worried about letting him at me with a straight so I decided to sign up and read up on straight razor shaving to get a little reassurance. So here I am, hopefully with any luck I will be shaving with a straight soon too.

    Smile Welcome, Bear07

Great to see another lady here.

There's lots of info in the Wiki and the help Files.Using the search function is quite useful too. If there's anything you can't find answers to that way don't be afraid to post in the forums. There's always gentlemen, and ladies now too, who are keen to help out.

    Enjoy.

PS When the itch strikes you, the classifieds are a great place to visit as well.

Welcome to SRP. Another woman comes into the fold. Soon we'll rule the world.
The key to straight razor shaving is using good materials: razor, soap, preparation, technique.

the learning curve is steeper than for a gillette venus, but otoh once you become comfortable with a straight it will be more comfortable and enjoyable.

    Have fun.

Default Why let him, you can do it yourself

You should read up on what the ladies are doing, no need to let the husband be the one that is afraid. Your mind is open and you can succeed.

Welcomr form another noob fellow. I have been using the straight for about 3 months intermittent and about 3 weeks as the sole razor. There is a learning curve, but it is not too bad.

    Hey Bear!

Welcome to Ladies Corner and indeed to SRP. Can I also suggest (if you haven't done so already) you read Pearl, Lilith, Viola and my shave threads. Thers is some sound advice and also photo's to see how (or how not) to shave your legs with a straight.

I have some good scars that have added to the uniqueness of my pins.

I hope you enjoy your stay and do feel free to stray to other sections too. The Conversation and Finer Things are worth a look over for general social chat and you would be more than welcome.
