Exclamation Best Barbershop in NC for a straight razor shave?

I'm trying to get my husband a great straight razor shave for part of his Christmas present. Does anyone have a recommendation for a barbershop in the Raleigh, Apex or Cary area of North Carolina?

A bit of search leg work yielded this place:

    Home

I can't vouch for it as I have never been there. I ended up searching for Barber Spas in Raleigh.

    Good luck!

manmur on hillsborough used to I think. The best place to get a straight razor shave is at home. Barbers are out of practice.

Thanks for the input. My husband wants to get into straight razors but I thought it would be nice for him to see if really appreciates the results before I get him the straight razor set up at home. But, I can appreciate your feelings, as well.

The thing is, barber shop shaves (or barber spa shaves) are really a crap shoot. I have had some pretty bad ones at places like The Art of Shaving. It really depends on the barber. I think the best way is to get a straight and learn how. There might be a member willing to help who is close by...

    Just some thoughts!
