    Default recommended soaps?

Hi all, I'm wondering about which soaps to buy? I love amber, sandalwood, and vanilla scent combos (think Burberry perfume), but really anything feminine would be fine. I also have quite dry skin, so a brand that both smells nice and is uber-moisturizing would be great.

    Thanks in advance!

In my humble opinion, Tabac has a quite feminine scent.

I smelled "English Leather" for the first time today, in walgreens. It smelled nothing like leather to me. It smelled like womens perfume mixed with floor cleaner.

The only scented soap I've used yet is Well's Almond. Smells nothing like almonds, but rather like some kind of baked sweet I can't identify. I enjoy it enough. I've got like 8 different 1 oz soaps from Wells in different scents. I'd recommend doing what I am, buy a bunch of small samples in various scents and find a favorite.

Edit... wow, I got here from front page, didn't even notice it was in women's forum, and totally misread "feminine" as "not feminine".

Well, when it comes to feminine fragrance, there's really only one I'll always enjoy. And that's Green Tea, I believe its Elizabeth Arden. I'm sure you can find a Green tea scented shave soap at a hippie soap manufacturer. Hippies love their green tea. They're convinced it makes them skinny and cures cancer. Really, As a woman, does the scent of a shave soap matter all that much? If you want something that leaves a scent, wouldn't a perfume or scented lotion (especially as you mention dry skin) be a better option, and if you want a scent while shaving... isn't it typically in the bath that you ladies shave, so a bath salt seems like a better choice for that. Maybe I'm making incorrect assumptions though.

Another Mama Bear fan here. I have Peach Vanilla, Chocolate Mousse (which smells a little too lotion-y for me sometimes), and Rik's Christmas Blend, which smells like gingerbread and is by far my favorite.

If you can afford it, Fitjar soaps have some incredible sounding scents. I only have the fjellheim which is about an un-feminine as you can get (smells like a fresh cut fir tree), but the quality is top notch.

If I'm not mistaken, they have one made specifically for women in a kind of vanillay scent. Not positive, but I'm pretty sure.

Try CarrieM's Lilac or Black Raspberry Vanilla. Both are way nice.

    +1 to Lynn's and Avatar's posts.
CarrieM has awesome scented creams/soaps, with great shaving performances for really reasonable prices, imo.
Currently, i have her lemongrass/sage, lavendar, as well as my beloved, mentholated "Frost." That stuff makes me blow ice-crystals, everytime i shave with it. He, he...
    Great stuff!

    Thanks,

    Mac
