    Default DE for me!

    Hello Ladies!

I found this place last year when buying a straight for my boyfriend for Christmas and received great info on it from the men here. The boy absolutely loves it and has never had a smoother face, which got me to thinking... I want to be super smooth too, but am too skittish at the moment to jump right into straights.

So here I am, wondering if maybe any of you may have opinions about DE razors that aren't too expensive for me to use. I have a tight budget and would like something effective that doesn't break me.

I suggest a Merkur HD. Perhaps Classicshaving.com or maybe even StraightRazorDesigns.com has one for you.

    Woops . . . sorry. I didn't see what sub-forum I was in . . . I'll be leaving now.

check ebay for ladies safety razors.. i have seen a few lady gillettes that look really classy.. and the ending bid is usually 12 to 15 dollars.

Ebay, flea markets, garage sales and occasionally and antique store are great places to pick up vintage DE's usually fror around $5-10 or less. If you want new the Merkur razors seem to be most popular. If you are having problems finding one shoot me a pm. I may have a couple extra somewhere

I have a couple of 3 piece Gillette safety razors that aren't anything special to look at but function fine. If you decide one of those would work and want to try one out, PM me and I can ship one to you.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll keep an eye open around here first and see what I can find.
