Default Ladies Preferences for Shaving Bowl/Mug?

It's been about a half a year since I set up my wife with a DE shaving kit but without a bowl/mug as I assumed she would just lather on her leg. She asked about getting one for her to use the other day, even though she is welcome to use mine.

Are there any features that women wet shavers prefer such as size, weight, handle style etc.?

    Thanks in Advance,
    C.

Actually I tried my wife's brush in my bowl and found that the bowl is a little deep for the handle length. Then it will come down to thinks like handle size, overall shape and of course, color. I'm wondering if a larger, more open bowl would make creating large amounts of lather simpler, though.
