Thread: Help shaving wifes legs

I have just switched from a replacement blade straight blade to a real straight blade. During my search I found this forum and saw the ladies section. I have been shaving with a replacement blade straight for awhile now and had never thought of shaving her legs with it till I read this section. I told her about it the other day and asked if she would like me to shave her legs. She thought about all day then that night she said I could so I went to shave her legs and I started on the lower side and applied the soap with my brush and then it hit me that I had no ideal how to shave her legs and I didn't want to cut her so I only shaved a small part of her lower leg. I figured better to do a little and have her enjoy it than to try to much and have her not enjoy it. She enjoyed it but I was unable to give her a good shave so now she is not very believing that a straight or even a DE razor would be much different that what she already is getting with a store bought razor. I was hoping someone could help me out on a good way to shave her legs that I could try out in a couple of nights and hopefully get a better result.

First get used to shaving yourself with a straight.

I shave my wifes legs with only two passes, first WTG then followed with ATG, then touchups around the knee area. We did a test with me shaving one leg and her shaving the other with her disposable. Her leg the following day had more stubble than the one that I shaved. Shaving someone else is not easy as you can't feel the pressure. I use a full hollow 5/8 (to feel the feedback) razor to ensure that I wouldn't be heavy handed & short strokes.

My Wife loves it when I str8 shave Her legs. I do eveything I would do if I was shaving My face. Rub some warm oil on first then make a nice warm lather. Lather up one leg, then shave it (WTG/ATG), Then do the other leg. I do the front half on both legs then do the backside.

I plan on trying again on Tuesday. I like the ideal on the warming oil and everything maybe massage them first then warming oil then lather and shave. She definitely will like that maybe even enough that if I do nick her a little she will let it slide.

Scary to say this, but I HAVE shaved that backside! She was thrilled, I was less so.

But serious, to make doing the backs of the legs easier, I have her lie on the massage table face down. way easier, and much safer imho

Don't do it!!! Once you start you will have to do it for her forever.

I just do a single ATG for my wife and it does a great job for her. She takes a shower before hand to help prep the skin and then I lather up her legs in sections so the lather does not dry out. On the front of her knees I do two passes with the knees bent, one from left to right and another right to left. I find this is the best way to get the hair and not have the razor catch on the lines that are formed due to the skin ridges on the joint.
While I am shaving her she is laying on the bed with a towel under her reading a book. When I am finished with an area I have her roll over so I can get the next section done. When I am done I wipe her legs down with a hot towel to remove any residual lather and then give her a foot and leg massage with her favorite lotion.

Make sure that she feels pampered and the favor might just be returned.

I'm free all next week, can't wait especially rubbing in the warm oil,
