Thread: A 4/8 Heljestrand

Hi All,

Here's a small message from Amsterdam. Just a few weeks ago I started straight shaving. Bought myself a Heljestrand 4/8 N.O.S. and the rest of the necessary goods. Have not touched my Gilette Excel since, only for business trips abroad, as single blades don't travel well on carry-on luggage. So far so good. Shaving WTG, XTG and ATG, but still with some burn, so need to improve on technique I guess. The "hobby" is growing on me as I have found myself bidding on Ebay already... We'll see. I'm enjoying the ride and for sure will continue with it. Still reading a lot on these pages and gratefull for all the free info. Awesome site. Much appreciated. Looking forward to spending way too much time here. :-)
