Thread: Greetings from Belgium

Hello,

my name is Gert (Pronounce it anyway you like in English).

Got into the straight razor mania by an article on webdesign (yep, no kidding here's the article )

I'm not that new to straight razor shaving anymore but still have a long way to go. Otherwise it would'nt be that fun I guess
I started out with a Shavette a year ago or so. Back then I was just enjoying the differenct scents of Taylor (TOBS) and trying to get used to handling the razor.

In August I received a brand new silver steel Dovo from my girlfriend. In fact she bought a complete starter kit from the friendly chap of the Koordenwinkel in Antwerp.

Afterwards I bought a few razors (learning tools as I tried to explain to the GF) on ebay.
Amongst them a Puma Friseur Freund no.1 that was in quite good condition and still shaves excellent and a Joseph Rodgers wedge razor that needs some polishing and a few strokes on the razor hone.

I could't resist taking a picture of the humble collection for my first post
