brand specific?
Hello! name's rob. new to cut throats though fairly accurate with a disposable 3 blade. and handy with some clippers.
I was looking for maybe a brand specific list of "things" i need to get started. i've already read quite a bit on here as well as badger and blade(chose your site). Any suggestions for a shave ready starter?

Buying a beginner's set on a budget - Straight Razor Place Wiki
Welcome to SRP...Here's a link that I think met all your tags criteria. Personal opinion would be that the brand you use is a choice that only you can make. There's also a stuff to avoid list somewhere, but I didn't search for it. I hope you enjoy your time here. This is a great place to learn way more than you thought you needed to know, until you learned it.

The "Beginner's Set" Wiki is excellent.
It omits "WhippedDog.com". Larry sells shave-ready razors that are often cosmetically flawed, but have good edges. Also a usable, inexpensive "Poor Man's Strop Kit", and complete razor + strop kits for low prices.
For new gear, at a higher price point, the Dovo-based kits on StraightRazorDesigns.com are often recommended. [I have one of their Dovo's, can't speak for the rest of the kit.]
