    Default Hello from Pleasanton CA

Hi everyone my name is Raul and I just started to learn about straight razor shaving. I just finished my 5th shave today. I have been taking a hot shower before I shave and I have the AOS oil, cream, and balm. I bought two razors and managed to nick one on the sink already. I think I'm starting to get the idea on stropping. I have been good at giving myself razor burn and I'm not very coordinated when I use my left hand. I initially tried wtg, xtg, and atg. I decided to slow down on that and now only do wtg until I get the hang of it. I'm doing my homework and hopefully I'll get a good understanding of the whole process soon.

    Welcome to the forum....

It sounds like you're on the right track. Take this process in, and enjoy it. Make a mental log of what works, and then repeat those steps.

    Keep us in the loop....
