Thread: Salutations from South Central Wisconsin

Santa brought me a new Dovo Best Quality Silver Steel razor, latigo leather strop, and badger hair brush for Christmas. Who'd have thought the old bearded man was into wet shaving?

I am new to this and have already had to send my razor out to be re-honed due to newbie sloppy stropping.
I have finally managed to shave without nicks but am still trying to get a much closer shave.

I am working on slow, steady, error-free stropping. I think I will start looking into some new soaps & creams as the Col. Conk I am using does not seem to produce the lather & lube I am looking for.

I am really glad that I found this group. It's filled with invaluable information. The videos and discussions are really helping.
