Thread: Hello from Japan

I've been thinking about getting a str8 for 2 years and finally I did! I got the Dovo synthetic black, 6/8, as well as a $20 POS to practice honing. I shaved for the first time today WTG and it went ok. Just going slow and learning as much as I can before moving on to my head. I hope to shaving ATG with in 2 weeks and doing my head and face in about 2 months, provided i can get/keep the blade sharp enough.

Welcome to SRP. Good to hear you are having success with your shaving. Going slow is a good strategy that will serve you well.

Welcome. Seems to be going well. You have to keep in mind that when you're going to shave your head with a straight it's going to be getting dull rather quickly, you might wanna wait until you know how to hone it.
