Thread: Greetings from Brighton, UK

Hi All

Great place you have here, thanks to everyone for the wealth of information and resources!

I've always thought that straight razors are pretty cool but had no idea there was such a community around them. I still use an old Gillette cartridge razor that I've had since I started shaving, and I've never really enjoyed shaving with it (not to mention the newer, 3/4/5 bladed versions which suck even worse.) So I'm looking forward to getting my face round a straight razor.

I've been reading the forums and articles for a while now and hope to purchase my first straight razor as soon as I've invested in the 'beginners shopping list' and found a suitable starter razor or two.

Can't wait to give it a try!

I've been reading everything I can and have just ordered what I need to start (razor, strop, brush, cream, etc.) Once it arrives I'll get practicing.
