Thread: Hi! from Spokane, WA

My RAD all started back in December when a co-worker showed me a Dobson kamisori. We had the good fortune of entertaining Phil Dobson the day after Christmas as he was in Spokane on the way to B.C. with friends to ice climb. I bought both razors showing on his Available page. I couldn't help myself. The kamisori is demanding of noobs, so I grabbed that smiling fixed blade Mother of Pearl, too.

Three more razors later, I'm really enjoying shaving with straights. I'm fortunate to be able to afford some custom razors, so besides the two Dobsons, I own a Lewis 8/8 Sheffield, and a Brian Brown kamisori is on the way. Given I acquired these over 2 months, it's now time to cool my heels and enjoy what I've got or at least focus my AD on to something more affordable like soaps, creams, and after shaves.

I hope to meet a few of you and I continue to get absorbed into this straight razor shaving obsession.

Here's my Dobson kamisori. I haven't taken any pictures of Brian's yet but will tonight. It's a sweet one, too.
