Getting better...?!
Stropping paste - Karakoup1
Hi there,
I recently bought some of the red paste from Valentin and I find it excellent. I don't have vast experience of straight shaving, but I can tell the difference between a good shave and a bad one
.
after honing i previously used diamond pastes of 2,1, and 0.5 microns, then a plain pasted strop before shaving. i now keep the same routine but add the red paste on a leather strop before the plain pasted one. the difference is marked. i use 2 Wapi's and the difference is incredible - much smoother. I have just bought a Puma and with the same treatment the shave is superb, like a knife through butter.
I have no idea what the paste is, i don't really care, it definately works for me......
Apart from the strops I have made myself, this is the best 8 euros I have spent on shaving gear.
If I can help please PM me.....
Regards,
Mark.....

For those of you who understand French, here is the link to a French Str8 website where others shaving pals are just happy about my pastes (5 pages and growing... & 100% satisfied....)

Getting better...?!
I certainly did.
Again, I am quite new to straights, but my shave is definately so much more improved!
I honestly think it is as good as it is going to get, I can't say more really!
I use 2 wapi's and the shave is really good using the red paste, I have just bought a Puma and the shave is superb.
If in doubt give it a go!, as I have said in other posts, apart from making my own strops, it is the best money I have spent on stuff for shaving, honestly!
Any questions please pm me.
Best wishes,
Mark......

Thanks for your review!!
I would recommand 10 - 12 passes with the red one (12-14 passes for the green one) for the very first time you use my paste on your Str8 razor.. Then 4-5 passes are enough...
Have a great time and of course, a splendid BBS!
Take care!
Valentin
