    Default SRP REVIEW

i have been shaving with a straight razor since 2003. I use disposable blades. I always had a thing with shaving since my skin is very sensitive and had tried almost every single safety razor humanity invented. It was in 2003 that i discovered the straight razor while having my hear cut and the barber asked if i wanted to shave my beard.
After the life changing response (a yes) the barber lathered and shaved to my surprise with a disposable straight. Of course i was scared and the first thing i thought of was my throat cut and my blood spilling out. It wasnt the case, the closest shave i ever had, so smooth i thought i was 10 and most important of all, not a hint of irritation and i was hooked. Since then it was the straight for me until i saw a vintage straight razor in a flea market. I can swear that the thing called my name and since that day vintage straight razors stuck to me like flies on sugar. so i started looking around, i first saw the Thiers-issard and then saw the Dovos but the prices were way out of my range. So i sought after ebay and bought my self a nice simmons and have one Mandarin on the way. I will not use them until i have a complete rotation stones and stropes. So in the mean time i prepare myself and learn about the maintenance of the razors and this is how i found straight razor place.com

Never in my life i have seen so many friendly users, passionate about their razors, know everything people, seen everything people, done everything people and find a solution to everything people.
ask if a fly use a wade&butcher or a dovo and you WILL get an answer :P

never seen a site with this much information about straight razors and no wonder this site is the best of them all. Beautifuly structured, user friendly and simply well organised.
    Excellent job guys.

    Lynn, thanks, seriously.

    My 2 cents, thats all.

    peace.
