Default Engraving Project! Wade & Butcher Logo (Part 2)

    Good news, Lads!

    I can engrave steel!

I know it's not quite right, but I'm trying to reproduce it from a limited number of clear photos.

Looks great . Does your process include engraving on steel with a radius hollow?

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

No. Not yet anyway... This was really to see if the tool would do it, which it clearly will.

The next step will be to build fixturing that will allow for that. The radius will be tricky, but I have a plan to address that. I'll need to find an old blade to try it on of course, but I think it can be done!

Like a tattoo, always a good idea to have a non-partisan person spell check engravings. Well, on non-test pieces at least!

What are the dimensions for the test piece? any worries on loss of detail in reducing the size?
