    @Obie
    So what size is the lather cup in the basic? All the pics i see i havent notuced any ridges or anything inside it. Or am i confused? Wouldnt be the first time.

    Well anyone that has this one can answer of corse. Im really leaning towards this one. Hell, if its good enough for the biggest soap/lather man on the forum, its good enough for this old truck driver.

    Ridges or no, really making lather is up to the maker, but it's inside surface is rough. And mostly the smaller sizes are just to keep your brush warm, the lathering us done on the face.
    What I found is building the lather in the bowl, is ok, but hey I like to face lather. Tc

    Thanks forcthe reply TC. I normally face lather but recently ive found a lot of samples ariving on my door step. Itvso much easier to put a finger full in the bottom of my lather bowl and work it into a lather. So lately have been bowl lathering. Although i still work it on the face a bit too as i enjoy the scrubby on the face.

    So rough texture? Guessing thats good enough. As long as its not a smooth as glass finish that you find on glazed pottery. Thats what i was afraid of.

    Not to find out if the opening is 4" or abouts. A 3" opening is just not big enough for me. Too bad the measurements on the site are only the total outside of tall and width.

    I've yet to try a scuttle. Not a lot of room on the pedastal sink with no counter. With my luck it would end up going flying across the room in short order.
    Do a Google search for Georgetown Pottery scuttle seconds. They have some there at really attractive prices.

    Thanks Pete.
    The g20 for 40 bucks. That 15 bucks off. Not a bad deal. Now i got to think all over again. Burning up brain cells left and right today. Althought i think i like the look of the swk better.

    Jerry I'll throw another monkey wrench at ya, one of the best lathering bowls I Ever used,(when I tried bowl lathering) was a 4$ 3 legged rough texture plastic salsa bowl from Wal Mart. But for keeping my brush warm, I still say the best Schwartzimacallit. Tc

    By the way you if I ever go back to a scuttle and I have 3 here already( 2 Georgetown pottery and a Moss) I'll still order another SWK, but I'll get to be without a handle, I broke mine and then let a friend have it and I guess he still likes it. One of the GTP has a broken handle too, so I won't have handles any more. Tc

    Yep. Id say stay away from handles TC. Sounds like your a bit rough on them. Still thinking the SWK is my choice at this time. Damn, its a bowl! Why is it so hard to deciede.

    I think the key is it is so well designed. If you make lather in the scuttle you can easily make a mountain really fast. Really all the things you would want in a scuttle (if you custom designed one yourself) this baby has.

    Bye the way both my Schwartzy scuttles have circular ridges in the bottom.
