    Default Home made razor stand

Hey folks. Just thought I would share this with yall. I have given up on straights and decided to go with DE razors. Love em. They shave great... anyhow, since switching I decided that I wanted a razor stand to hold the razor a brush. Looked around on ebay and other site. Didn't like what I saw for one reason or another. Thought I might try to make my own. This is what I ended up with. Let me know what yall think. It is made out of part of an antenna. One of the big ones like they used to use for CB radios.

Looks good and sure does the job. It just goes to show you don't have to spend a ton to have fun. Now I got to buy a CB radio so I can get one of them antennas....LOL!

Look at what I use for a brush holder.....its one of those brackets you screw to the wall to hang a broom or mop.

Never would have thought of that. Not a bad idea.

I found instructions to make one of those type stands from coat hanger but haven't yet got down to it. Using the broom clasp thing though is genius, it saves space in the cabinet and on the counter.

I made one out of a coat hanger from the instructions on the internet. It worked but it was butt ugly and a bit flimsy. Thats when I decided to try and find something a bot more sturdy to use. Once I found what I was looking for... out came the propane torch pliars and paint. This thing is pretty sturdy.

I did the same thing as well out of a coat hanger.
I didn't put my DEs in them , just my brushes
and yes they were really ugly and a little flimsy.
Your take on it is a huge improvement on the coat hanger type

    Gentlemen:

I envy those who can be so creative with their mind and hands. That's good work.

Wasn't hard to do. Just don't touch the metal rod right after it is heated for bending. It is just a little warm. LOL
