    Default Ikeahack shave den

After looking through the very inspiring shave den threads here a while ago I got the need to make my own. I got little space, so I needed something compact yet with enough storage it will hold my daily gear.

I got an ikea dvd shelf, it was small enough for my needs exept I had to cut more than 50% off the height, and the shelves were also rather useless. I made some thin shelves that will hold my razors in stead, and inserted one full shelf in glass to maintain light in there.

Here's the dvd shelf, and then the converted shave den

My strop is not in the den, and I'm thinking another shelf on the lower part to hold more soaps, but so far I'm pretty happy. The rack holds 9 knives per level, so 45 in total.

Good idea. Gives me some ideas as I have limited space for now.

Great idea - I like walking around a store thinking about what I could make with off the shelf stuff.

Great idea, but looks like you need to buy more razors now to fill it.

Yes, I noticed I made too many shelves - bummer! My wife didn't quite believe me when I explained it was simply a matter of mis-calculations
