Default My New Shelves Are Great!

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to post my new storage solution for all the goodies I’ve picked-up in the last month. It sure doesn’t take long to acquire this stuff, does it? Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised when SWMBO gave me the green light to install the shelves! This is the current state as of this morning, but there are a few things that haven’t been put into rotation just yet: 4 straight razors, 2 horse hair brushes on their way from Best Shave, and 1 Semogue 1305 that should be here today or tomorrow! And I’m sure I’ll be needing another “proper” soap bowl soon, and I want to try out some more soaps/creams… Looks like I’ll be swinging by Lowe’s on my way home this afternoon to buy another shelf!

    Sorry for the crappy pics...

Looking good! Is there a straight razor hiding somewhere on the shelf?

Unfortunately not at this time... Lynn honed 2 for me a while back and I've got 2 in the mail to him right now, so they will be there soon! I've been DE'ing for just under a month now and I'm still developing my "testicular fortitude" to try the straights! I do have a copy of Lynn's DVD, so there is some comfort in that!

I will definitely keep everyone here informed after I've finished my 1st SR shave! Thanks for the comment on the shelves!

Looks great. Sounds like your just getting started, and alreadyrunning out of the new space, lol

To save some space, and get some extra room, pick up some cheap plastic brush stands (places like the goldennib have them.

Get some thin foam double sided tape and stick them "upside down" to the bottom of the shelves. I did that on the bottom of my medicine cabinet and works well to store
    and dry the brushes

I've never used the brush. I bought it at my local antique store for a future restoration, so it's just for decoration now. I did get my Semogue 1305 today, so the C40 was scouched further down the way!

Let me know how you like or don't like 1305? I almost bought one this week but opted for the Omega boar "Scarlatti" model.

    Regards.
