It's German and its stainless steel. it would survive the planet blowing up lol other than that if it does the job it's supposed to do and you like the design of it then go for it

May your bone always be well buried
And if you don't like it, I'm sure it will go nicely with my Dovo, so you could always send it to me.

The Assyrian
Hello, garth:
I don't have that Dovo razor and brush stand, but I have seen photos of it and admired it. The stand is sleek and attractive, and you can tell it will last a long time. Good choice.
Regards,
Obie

I am the lucky owner of this stand. It is a solid and nice piece of German craftmanship.
Recently I ordered DOVO's new Z-shaped stand, article number 499 906. This will be my second one. I think it is even more beautiful. A simple but eye catching design product.

I don't have the one pictured however I have one designed for a brush and a DE and it's a ballistic grade piece. Some day in the year 5100 it will be in some ancient history museum.

I think that particular stand has a poor design. I would never want to put a wet or damp brush that close to a straight razor. Other than that major shortcoming, the stand is probably manufactured well. I personally, would not buy this stand.

altshaver, thank you for your response. At first I did not want to buy this stand for the reason you mention. But then I realised myself there is no problem at all for me due to my shaving ritual.
After shaving I wipe out my brush so that it is only wet, not soaked, and I put it in the stand. My straight razor is thoroughly dried with a piece of cloth and put on my room table.
When I come home after a day working my brush is dry and the razor is put in the stand too.
