    Default No Boxes?

I am surprised that no one has come up with some razor boxes for all those purchases that you get that come with no box. I would think it would be something of interest.

I've seen vintage razor boxes come up as items on flea-bay but haven't paid that much attention since, well, it's the contents that interest me. Presentation cases for some of the artwork I've seen on this forum, however, seem appropriate.

Razor Cases - New Whippeddog sells these and I have used travel toothbrush holders before. And I just got this knife roll for my SR's and it works great Amazon.com: AC 92 Safe and Sound Gear Knife Roll Holds Approx. 12 Knives: Sports & Outdoors

If you look around the forum a bit, you will find that there has been everything from vintage coffins, to toothbrush holders, to people making boxes from exotic woods, to the new Alembi-case and just about anything that you can imagine out there for storing or putting a razor with no box into.

I have bid on and won bundles of straight razor coffins from ebay in the past. That's a bit of a crap shoot. Not all of them are useable and not all razors will fit in them.

I have also purchased and used travel toothbrush holders to store my straight razors in. Fairly economical.

One of the vendors who advertises here at SRP--Classic Shaving--offers plastic coffins for the storage of straight razors as well.

Great replies, all. I have also seen those "groups" of old vintage razor boxes on ebay but seemed like it was, as you say, a crap shoot, on if you really got something of worth while. With so many razors exchaning hands I couldn't help but figure someone out there was making boxes or having some sort of luck with acquiring something for older, vintages box-less razors to find a home in. A small clear plastic box would be nice so that you could also see the interior, as well as if there were boxes that came with small lables to afix names and info to put on the outside of the box to proclaim the razor that resided inside.

I bought some toothbrush holders, but found them wanting. I have even thought of those plastic tool holders for specialty wrenches that came as a rolled up set. Right now, I have a lot of razors that just occupy the upper drawer along with my socks and stuff. I bought some pretty colored hair elastic bands to lightly wrap around the razors so that they remain in the "closed" position so I don't poke around and get sliced.

Thanks for the replies, and maybe another newcomeer will stumble across this thread, wondering the same thing.

I found this roll, which I think is meant for a bicycle tool set. Works great, and is water proof, to a certain extent.

I've got one of the new AlembiCases and it's brilliant, it look good and its bomb proof.

Literally the only things that are going to survive a nuclear holocaust are the roaches and this case, that's how tough it is.

I'm off on holiday this weekend and I'll be taking the case with me for sure!
