Thread: Custom Horse Hide Razor Case!

Hey Guys,

Here is a custom razor case I made for myself for use when I travel. It's made from Horween shell cordovan and should work great! It's plenty stiff, but it will break in quickly after a razor has been stored inside for a bit. I don't intend on keeping a razor inside the case full time, just while in my dop kit, so there should be no moisture/rust problems. The leather is "natural" and undyed, save for a good coating of mink oil, which darkened the leather to a nice shade of brown. I also stamped the case in a couple of places with my makers marks which add a cool custom touch, IMO.

Anyway, here are the pics and I welcome your comments and suggestions on how to improve the design.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys! And like some of you, I like the "less is more" style in a lot of things myself. I appreciate the skill it takes to hand tool leather, but I usually wouldn't want it for myself.

Great looking case. I really like the straightforward design of it. It has a very rugged look to it yet looks quite refined.
