Default Does this soap fit in this company's bowl?

Hey everyone, I have a quick question and was hoping someone might know the answer from experience...if not, please reply with your thoughts. I am a fan of the Colonel Conk Almond soap and was thinking about purchasing the Art of Shaving wooden bowl. My question::: Does Colonel Conk soap fit in the wooden bowl of Art of Shaving? I need to know before purchasing as I am worried about the depth and can't find dimensions online. Thanks gents.

I don't know if it will fit in puck form, but Col Conk is one of those soaps that can be melted and poured into whatever container you like. I use a double boiler. Some use a microwave.

Maybe you could e-mail AOS and ask about the dimensions?

If the good Colonel has 2 sizes of soap, the smaller should fit just about any size cup, mug, or holder. The larger pucks generally need a big container.

This isn't much help, is it? Getting measurements as suggested above is your biggest help.

I myself prefer the cheese grater method to melt and pour previously described. Remove the puck form the original container. Grate it like you would cheese. Place the shavings in whatever container you would like. Gently mash the shavings down to a firm tamp. and lather away. The soap looks a bit funky at first but after a couple of brush loads it will look like it was made for the container.
