Aftershave balm vs Aftershave Lotion....

If by "lotion" you mean "splash," then I will go with "Balm." I use aftershave balm after every single shave. Occasionally I will use a splash after my balm if that is the fragrance I want for the day, but usually use cologne.

Hmmm... Personally I would have to give an edge to aftershave lotions/splashes. After a shave I prefer the "clean" feeling I get from a splash. I find the balms to be a little tacky, especially if you use other face products in combination.

But that being said there are AS balms that I love too. I wouldn't be without Nivea Sensitive, for example. And I have some Castle Forbes 1445 thats really nice too. It's a tough call, for sure.

I put some trumpers skin food (limes) in the palm of my hand and then i put my Clubman splash on top of the skin food ,mix well and apply,no burn and good to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot depends on the weather. If we're experiencing the dry windy weather that the north end of Los Angeles is known for, I will usually go with something with moisturizing qualities, e.g. Nivea or Little Anthony's Sicilian Body Butter ( a creation of a former coworker of mine-olive oil, beeswax, water, and essential oils of almond and orange) after my splash of choice, usually Bay Rum or Aqua Velva. If dry weather is not an issue, then it's a splash only

I go for the splash and the burn, I actually like the burn it let's me know I'm alive.
