    Default will these heal soon

about 5 months ago i shaved with my new at the time dovo 5/8, i got a nasty cuz when doing the xtg on my check, and on the atg under my lip. Now these cut did no stop bleeding, but it stopped after i rubbed my nick stealer. Like i said its been 5 months and the cuts are still there, and i was wondering if they are going to be there for ever.

Do you really mean the cuts are still there or are you saying there are still visible scars? if you have cuts that haven't closed after five months I would get to a doctor stat.

I agree with Lazarus, but if it is a scar - they can last for a long time. The second time I formally wet shaved, I cut myself on my neck and the scar lasted for about a year. It has since faded away though.

I agree with both the previous posts. I cut myself shortly after I started shaving and the scar is almost all gone by now, but I do have one on my neck that happened about 3 months ago and the scar has just started to fade a bit.

It depends how deep the cut was. Many times they go away by themselves or at least fade over time. However a deep cut will really never fade completely. It will always be there. I guess if a cut is properly treated from the start there is less chances of scarring.

Hang on to those shaving scars as long as you can.
They show you're a straight razor shaver, a real man.
Make a point of re-nicking them when you get a chance
Tell people you were sword-fighting and were sliced by a lance.

The cuts from a straight are clean & thin, so any permanent scars aren't wide.

Unless your frien'ds have a habbit of talking to you only inches from your face, they'll never notice the scars.

    They'll be your shaving trophies.

I personally have 2. They're clearly visible when I stare at them close in the mirror, but you'll never know they're there if I don't tell you.

I think the replies this far covers most of it

I have had a few cuts and nicks, and subsequent scars as a result.
Most of them are all but gone about a year later. I always use Neosporin when I get cuts, that seems to help the healing and reduce scars as much as possible.

If we would have had neosporin when I was a kid - I'd have done a lot more dumb stuff with sharp stuff. The lasting pain, albeit uncomfortable, does flatten the learning curve quite a bit.
