Default Coconut Oil, the best after shave around?

I came across I book on the advantages of having coconut products in your diet and one of the things this book said it's that you can use coconut oil as an alternative to olive oil in your salads and other foods and then the author moves on to say that it is also a great moisturizer for your face and that can increase elasticity and countless of other benefits for your skin. And so I thought that it might make a great after shave.

I have now been using it as an after shave for about four week and it works great. At lest for me. It's very cheap to get too and you don't need to use very much. If you use a lot it leaves your face looking shiny and greasy but if you adjust the amount to your particular needs it then makes your skin look and feel great.

I hope this helps some of you!

    All the best

    Carlos

I just did a search on line and got the one that offer the best deal. I don't remember the exact seller but I'm sure you'll find one easily. Be aware that you can buy it in two versions one for cosmetic use and one eatable. I got the eatable version so I can use it mix in my pasta dishes!. Also let me add that both versions come in solid form, like lard if you like. All the best!

That makes sense to me. I some times use lanolin ( another protective oil) if I've had a really harsh shave, and it helps a lot. No reason why coconut wouldn't behave in a similar manner.

I'm not sure about using it as aftershave, but Domenico Caraceni shave cream is formulated with coconut oil and it leaves my face softer than no other. IMO it even beats the lanolin-laden MWF hands down in the skin conditioning department. So yes, I'm a believer in the abilities of coconut oil
