Someone once said how thin, wet lather worked best for straights. Today I tried out some wet lather and the shave was amazing! I applied a thick layer of lather, but it was more foamy and moist than what most would consider ideal.
So I'm wondering, do you all prefer your lather on the wet side, or do you keep it in the same consistency as what you would use with a DE? What indicators do you use to tell if your lather is where you want it to be?

For me that means thick but moist and not at all runny. I don't like lather dripping off of my chin while I'm shaving. I find it distracting. I've only recently started soaking my brush for a few minutes in my shaving bowl. I throw some water on top of the puck as well and go tend to other things for five minutes or so. I also like to mix some cream and soap sometimes. Carrie's Lavender and MWF is a great combination.
