What is a "dribble port" ?? I already ordered so I don't think i can change it now, but I am curious With my G5 it is a very well made scuttle but it tends to get lather everywhere because the bowl is too small...

A dribble port is a small hole in the side of the lather bowl that will allow you to tip the scuttle slightly to allow water into the lather bowl when needed. It's an awesome addition. It keeps you from dipping your brush back into the sink to add water to your lather. Give Julie a call or shoot her an e-mail and she can probably add it. I had it added to my 1.5 and my travel scuttle. She's great and her work is even better. She will get back to you right away if you e-mail her. Hope you like your scuttle. I love mine!
P.S. I think there is a video on You-Tube that shows a dribble port in a scuttle.

Or you can just add a few drops off your fingers..If you dip your brush you end up adding too much water.

I received the G5 last week and have had no problem whipping up lather! I nuke the water for one minute first then pour it into the scuttle, place the rubber stop on her and whip a dime size amount of my favorite cream against the inner wall. I'm using a FS Silver Head Badger Brush. The trick is to whip around OFF the bottom about an 1" or 1"1/2. The cream will be made at the bottom. Everything stays inside the bowl for me at the bottom! Nice and warm! I have gotten three shaves and could have gone on if needed, The thing is great IMHO. BUT...yes, I will agree that the I.D. of the bowl is small so for you guys out there with paws like an gorilla, it will not feel comfortable Its just like when I'm fitting a customer to a handgun. I happen to have SM to MD size hands so the G5 works perfect for me. If you have Lg hands, you probably wont like the fit. They are well built, heavy, sturdy pieces of art I must say. I picked up that El-Chepo warmer on page 1 of this thread too. Came the same day. Tried it out and it works. Talk about a tight fit. The I.D. of that bowl is even smaller and its deeper so large hands beware but for travel its great! Super light and hey - if it breaks, who cares! It was $8.

Cool, Have been riding all my life. Have two in the stable at this time: 06' Dyna single seat Street Bob (fast and blacked out) and an 06' Electra Glide for long hauls and the Mrs.. See ya on the road sometime. There aught to be a straight razor booth at the Americade...hey, there's an idea.
