Cool DIY Help with Recipies for Preshave Oils

    Hello all,

I have shaved 5 times now and I must say, I have found Heaven! I enjoy every bit of the porcess involved in shaving. I recently walked into a Sephora, while I was searching on the web I found out they had some AOS products, I asked for samples and I stumbled upon a sample of Preshave oils from AOS. I must confess to me it made a difference, large enough to notice. So I have been seeking ways make my own shave oil. I currently have lavender essential oil, some castor oil and some virgin olive oil.

My request is if I could tap directly into the DIYers and see if I could get some variants on homemade Preshave oils. If you are kind enough to respond could you please provide essential oils used and quantities, and what other oils used and proportions of those too. Explaining it like if I was a kindergartener is a plus! Thank you all in advance!

    Regards,
    LP

There are some threads on the subject in the preshaves, aftershaves, colognes section.
I'm moving this post there as well.

1/3 castor oil, 2/3 olive oil and lavender oil to taste (or nose in this case). The castor oil is the key, you can substitute many oils for the olive oil. Sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil are all less oily. Rapeseed oil is another possibility.
