Thread: Anyone try natural Aloe Vera plant?

Yesterday I spent the day with my daughter which involved her getting a manicure, pedicure, eye waxing and all that girly stuff. I also enjoyed a pedicure which involves a lower leg message. well the lady took two peices of fresh aloe plant, crushed them in her hand and rubbed the stuff only my legs and feet. It felt cool and slick on my legs so I took a bit onto my hands at it felt the same way. Very cool and slick.
I was wondering if anyone ever tried to use this as a pre-shave, during the shave, post shave etc.. I plan on hitting the grocery store today and get some. Any comments would be very welcome.

Yes, I use that regularly. I bring a leaf to the bathroom and every day cut about 3/4" off, rub it between my hands, remove the green bits, and then rub the remainder on my face. It's about as natural as you can get!

Can't say I've tried it as an aftershave but it did absolute wonders for me on many a sunburn - so, I'm guessing it'd also be quite amazing for razor burn.

While we all know the benefits and healing power of Aloe Vera I now use derma-life which is an incredible skin care product with Aloe Vera (and other natural ingredients).

I used to have freely growing plants when I was living in California but unfortunately they aren't cold hardy so they are not suited for Vegas if grown outside.

Ive never used it shaving but a friend of mine got severe burns on his forearm from a splash of hot oil from a deep fry'r " he's a chef" and he treated it with fresh alovera from his garden , it healed the burn fantasticly keep in mind it was a severe burn yet it almost left no scar ...seeing is beleiving

This plant is incredible and very easy to grow too. Get one going in your backyard and you will enjoy the benefits for years to come...especially good when you have a burn.

We had one 'til one winter, the frost in CA killed it...bummer. We are planting/growing another one.

I moved mine inside during the winter and it had no ill effects

Yeap...no joke. It was a couple of years back...sub zero temps at night. We were out of town and by the time we got back the next day, it was too late (for the Aloe plant).

I have a few inside that I grow in pots in my front porch. I move them inside for the winter. Excellent plant
